The twenty-eighth FAO European Regional Conference (ERC) and the thirty-seventh session of the European Commission on Agriculture (ECA) will be held at the Hilton Hotel (Azadlig Av.l) in Baku, Azerbaijan from 16-20 April 2012. This conference week in Baku also includes an NGOs/CSOs Consultation meeting.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan would like to remind all nationals of foreign countries wishing to travel to Nagorno-Karabakh and other occupied regions of Azerbaijan that due to continuing occupation by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, these areas are temporarily out of control of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani artists perform in Budapest

On February 21-22, 2012 events titled “Scientific presentation of Azerbaijani culture” were held at Eötvös Loránd and Corvinus universities of Hungary by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Hungary and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the events lectures covering different aspects of Azerbaijani culture were presented to the students and lecturers by experts sent to Hungary by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Press-conference on FAO’s 28th Regional Conference was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Hungary with the participation of the FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia and the Ministry of Rural Development of Hungary.

On April 14-17, 2011 the 18th International Book Festival was held at Millenáris Center in Budapest. Festival was attended by exhibitors, authors and publishing professionals from more than 50 countries.
